We are so busy; we work at our jobs, raising our families, caring for parents, and trying to have fun. Yet as Christians, we are called to be the “priesthood of all believers.” Each of us is truly a minister and as such, we are called to be in ministry. What does that look like here at

If you would like to be part of the Volunteer Revolution at WUMC but are unsure where to begin, then this class is for you! Held the first Sunday every month, Starting Point is for members and non-members who would like to know more about serving in the church and beyond. Childcare is available. No registration required!

Once you decide you want to explore a specific serving opportunity, sign up for it online. Any additional information you need should be provided with the opportunity listing.What is expected of me?
Expectations vary from role to role. There is a process in place to ensure you are appropriately equipped and trained. The most important thing you can do is show up at the appointed time. Should you ever have any questions about what is expected of you, be sure to talk with your team leader. Open communication is the best method to be sure the serving opportunity is a good fit for both you and the ministry.What is the time commitment?
The great news is that you can tailor your serving to fit your schedule and your season of life. There are serving opportunities available around the weekend services as well as throughout the week.
